How Will You Use Your Chair?

Work, play, and downtime can all be part of your day. Start with your main activity, then consider what else your chair needs to accommodate.

  • Working from Home

From catching up on emails to working from home, consider how your chair fits your desk, where your arms rest, and the adjustments you need.

  • Everyday Relaxation

From reading a few pages to taking a break, consider your preferred reclining position and the space needed for a reclined backrest or extended footrest.

  • Gaming & Entertainment

Whether you play with a keyboard and mouse or a controller, consider arm and back support, plus the positions you prefer during play and between rounds.

Find your fit. Make room for comfort.

Measure your workspace, then compare chair dimensions to find room to sit, move, and unwind.

  • Check Your Desk & Chair Heights

Measure your desktop height and the clearance beneath its lowest obstruction. Compare these with the seat-height range and armrest height to check legroom and whether the armrests fit underneath.

  • Find the Right Chair Dimensions

Compare seat width, seat depth, armrest spacing, and backrest dimensions with your body size and sitting preferences. Account for space taken up by side bolsters and the lumbar cushion, and check the base width.

  • Allow Room to Recline & Extend

Check the chair’s overall length when reclined with the footrest extended. Allow clearance behind the backrest and enough space in front to extend the footrest.

  • Check Your Under-Desk Width

Measure the narrowest opening between desk legs or cabinets. Compare it with the chair’s width, including armrests, and allow extra room to move the chair into position.

  • Leave Room to Move

Measure the available floor width and depth around your chair. Beyond the base footprint, allow room to swivel, roll, and get in and out of the seat.
