Construction took about half an hour but I was switching between multiple tasks. Holes are drilled well, the bolts are very hefty and long. I'm not a big guy (180 lbs) but I was concerned the construction would feel flimsy and it doesn't There are no glaring cosmetic issues (stitching is nice all around, so far)
I thought the footrest would be too flimsy to use, and I'm still scared of putting too much weight on it, but it's solid enough. Even if it doesn't last long, I could easily replace the rods supplied with a better material on the cheap.
All the padding is really nice, but I do wish there was a bit more on the back of the seat. Lumbar/neck pillows are INCREDIBLE. I thought the massage function was going to be a shallow gimmick, but I really enjoy it and will probably use it on occasion.
I can't do any comparative analysis since this is the first chair I've paid money for in over a decade, but it's a dang good chair.
